Selenoid is a fast and reliable replacement for Selenium server.
In this tutorial, we will guide you through the steps to install Selenoid on Alpine Linux Latest.
Before beginning with the installation process, make sure you have the following prerequisites:
Selenoid runs on Docker, so Docker CE is required on the system to run Selenoid.
Follow these steps to install Docker CE on Alpine Linux Latest:
$ apk update
$ apk add docker
$ rc-update add docker boot
$ service docker start
This will install Docker CE on your Alpine Linux Latest system.
Selenoid images can be downloaded from the official Selenoid images repository available on Docker Hub.
$ docker pull selenoid/chrome:latest
$ docker pull selenoid/firefox:latest
This will download the latest versions of Chrome and Firefox images for Selenoid.
The Selenoid configuration file can be downloaded by running the following command:
$ curl -Lo selenoid.json https://aerokube.com/selenoid/latest/
This will download the Selenoid configuration file in the JSON format.
Selenoid can be started by running the following command:
$ docker run -d --name selenoid \
-p 4444:4444 \
-v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock \
-v `pwd`:/etc/selenoid:ro \
selenoid/standalone:latest -config /etc/selenoid/selenoid.json
This will start Selenoid and expose it on port 4444.
You can check the status of Selenoid by visiting http://localhost:4444/status
