Installing Sympa on Arch Linux

Sympa is a popular mailing list manager used by many organizations. This tutorial will guide you through the installation of Sympa on Arch Linux.

Prerequisites

Installation Steps

  1. Update and upgrade your system packages by running the following command in the terminal:
sudo pacman -Syu
  1. Install Sympa from the official Arch Linux repositories by running the following command in the terminal:
sudo pacman -S sympa
  1. Once the installation process is over, start the Sympa service using the following command:
sudo systemctl start sympa
  1. To enable the Sympa service to start automatically at system boot, run the following command:
sudo systemctl enable sympa
  1. You can verify if Sympa is running by accessing the web interface. Open your web browser and go to http://localhost/sympa. You should see the Sympa web interface.

  2. To access the Sympa admin panel, go to http://localhost/sympa/wwsympa.fcgi/admin. You will be prompted to enter the admin credentials. Enter the login credentials to log in.

You have successfully installed Sympa on Arch Linux. You can now start managing your mailing lists using Sympa.
