In this tutorial, we will guide you through the installation process of ActiveWorkflow on Clear Linux Latest.
Before we proceed with the installation, please ensure that you have the following prerequisites:
Open up your terminal and install the Git
package using the following command:
sudo swupd bundle-add git
This command will download and install the Git
package required to clone the ActiveWorkflow repository.
After installing Git, navigate to the directory where you want to clone the ActiveWorkflow repository.
Let's say we want to clone it in the Home
directory, then navigate to the Home directory using the following command.
cd ~
Next, clone the ActiveWorkflow repository using the following command:
git clone https://github.com/automaticmode/active_workflow.git
To install the dependencies required by ActiveWorkflow, navigate to the active_workflow directory using the following command:
cd ~/active_workflow/
Next, install the node.js
, yarn
and postgresql
packages using the following command:
sudo swupd bundle-add nodejs yarn postgresql
After installing the required dependencies, install ActiveWorkflow using the following command:
yarn install
This command will download and install all the required packages and dependencies for ActiveWorkflow.
Next, we will configure PostgreSQL for ActiveWorkflow.
First, start the PostgreSQL service using the following command:
sudo systemctl start postgresql
Then, create a new database, new user, and grant permission to the user using the following commands:
sudo -u postgres createuser --interactive
sudo -u postgres createdb active_workflow
sudo -u postgres psql
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON DATABASE active_workflow TO <username>;
\q
In the above commands, replace <username>
with the username you want to use to connect with the database.
After configuring PostgreSQL, we can now start ActiveWorkflow using the following command:
yarn start
This command will run the ActiveWorkflow application. You can access it by opening up your web browser and navigating to http://localhost:3000
.
