Shiori is a simple bookmark manager written in Go language. In this tutorial, we will go through the steps to install Shiori on Clear Linux.
Before we install any software, it's essential to update the system. Open a terminal and run the following command to update the system:
sudo swupd update
Enter your password when prompted.
Shiori requires the following dependencies to be installed on the system:
Run the following command to install Git:
sudo swupd bundle-add git
Run the following command to install Go:
sudo swupd bundle-add golang
Shiori is available on GitHub. To download and build Shiori, follow the below steps:
cd ~/Downloads
git clone https://github.com/go-shiori/shiori.git
cd shiori
make install
By default, Shiori is installed in the $HOME/.local/bin
directory. To use Shiori globally, we need to add it to the system's PATH.
$HOME/.bashrc
file:nano ~/.bashrc
export PATH="$PATH:$HOME/.local/bin"
Save and close the file by pressing Ctrl+X

Run the following command to apply the changes:
source ~/.bashrc
To run Shiori, enter the following command in the terminal:
shiori
