In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to install Taiga on Clear Linux Latest step by step.
Before starting, update your system to ensure that all installed packages are up-to-date. Run the following command to update your system:
swupd update
Taiga requires Docker to run. If you have not installed Docker, you can install it using the following command:
sudo swupd bundle-add containers-basic
Now that Docker has been installed, we can proceed with the installation of Taiga. We will use Docker Compose to install Taiga.
Install the latest version of Docker Compose using the following command:
sudo curl -L "https://github.com/docker/compose/releases/download/1.29.2/docker-compose-$(uname -s)-$(uname -m)" -o /usr/local/bin/docker-compose
After downloading the Docker Compose binary, make it executable using the following command:
sudo chmod +x /usr/local/bin/docker-compose
Create a directory where you will install Taiga:
sudo mkdir /opt/taiga
Change the directory to /opt/taiga:
cd /opt/taiga
Clone the Taiga Git repository using the following command:
sudo git clone https://github.com/taigaio/taiga-docker.git
Change the directory to taiga-docker:
cd taiga-docker
Create a configuration file using the following command:
sudo cp env-example .env
Edit the .env file to set the Taiga version, database credentials, and other configurations as per your requirements.
Start Taiga using the following command:
sudo docker-compose up -d
This command will start the Taiga container in detached mode, which means it will run in the background.
Once you have installed Taiga, you can access it by opening a web browser and navigating to http://server-ip-address:5000
.
You should see the Taiga login screen. Use the default admin credentials to login:
After logging in, you will be taken to the Taiga dashboard. From here, you can create projects, manage users, and configure other settings.
That’s it! You have successfully installed Taiga on Clear Linux. You can now start using Taiga to manage projects, track issues, and collaborate with your team.
If you want to self-host in an easy, hands free way, need an external IP address, or simply want your data in your own hands, give IPv6.rs a try!
Alternatively, for the best virtual desktop, try Shells!
