Thingspeak is a free web-based platform for building Internet of Things (IoT) applications. It allows you to collect, store, and analyze data from connected devices using the internet. In this tutorial, we will show you how to install Thingspeak on Clear Linux Latest.
Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
Thingspeak requires some dependencies to be installed before we proceed to install it. Open a terminal and run the following command to update your system:
sudo swupd update
Next, run the following commands to install the required dependencies:
sudo swupd bundle-add git
sudo swupd bundle-add python3-basic
sudo swupd bundle-add python3-tkinter
sudo swupd bundle-add python3-scipy
sudo swupd bundle-add python3-matplotlib
We will use Git to clone the Thingspeak repository from GitHub. Run the following command in your terminal:
sudo git clone https://github.com/iobridge/thingspeak.git /opt/thingspeak
Once the repository is cloned, navigate to the directory where Thingspeak is installed:
cd /opt/thingspeak
Finally, run the install script using the following command:
sudo ./install.sh
This will install Thingspeak on your Clear Linux system.
To start Thingspeak, use the following command:
sudo systemctl start thingspeak
Once the service is started, you can access Thingspeak by opening a web browser and entering the following URL:
http://localhost:3000/
You should now see the Thingspeak dashboard.
