Zim is a desktop wiki for note-taking, which is simple and easy to use. And in this tutorial, we’ll go through the installation process of Zim on Clear Linux Latest.
Before you begin with the installation of Zim on Clear Linux, make sure that you have the following:
The first step is to update the Clear Linux system packages to ensure that we are running on the latest packages.
Open the Terminal in Clear Linux and run the following command:
sudo swupd update
Wait for the update process to complete.
Zim is available in Clear Linux repositories, and you can install it using the following command:
sudo swupd bundle-add desktop-zim
The above command will install both the Zim
and the dependencies required to run Zim.
Once the installation is complete, you can launch Zim from the Application launcher or by typing zim
in the terminal.
When you launch Zim, you’ll be prompted to select or create the folder where your Zim diary will be saved.
That’s it, you’ve successfully installed Zim on Clear Linux. Start using Zim to keep track of your notes and ideas.
If you face any issues during the installation process or while using Zim, check the Zim Wiki for more information.
