Aptly is a powerful tool for managing Debian repositories. In this tutorial, we will explain how to install aptly on Clear Linux latest.
Before installing aptly, make sure your Clear Linux system is up-to-date.
sudo swupd update
Aptly is available in the Clear Linux os-core-update bundle. You can check if the aptly package is already available in the repository by running:
sudo swupd search aptly
The above command will either show the aptly package with its version number, or an error indicating that package is not available. If the package is not available, add the repository by running the following command:
sudo swupd bundle-add os-core-update
To install aptly on Clear Linux latest, run the following command:
sudo swupd bundle-add aptly
This command installs the latest version of aptly on your system. Once the installation is complete, verify the installation by running:
aptly version
This command should output the version number of your installed aptly package.
