Draw.io is a popular open-source diagramming and charting tool used by developers and designers to create flowcharts, diagrams, wireframes, and more. This tutorial will guide you through the process of installing Draw.io on Clear Linux Latest.
Before you start installing Draw.io on Clear Linux, make sure you have the following installed:
To download Draw.io, open your terminal and run the following command:
wget https://github.com/jgraph/drawio-desktop/releases/download/vxxxxx/draw.io-amd64-xxxxx.tar.gz
Note: Replace the xxxxx
in the URL with the latest version of Draw.io.
After you download Draw.io, extract the files by running the following command:
tar zxvf draw.io-amd64-xxxxx.tar.gz
To install Draw.io, you can either run the command to install the .deb package:
sudo dpkg -i draw.io-amd64-xxxxx.deb
Or place the extracted folder at /opt/
sudo mv draw.io /opt/
To create a desktop shortcut, create a .desktop
file with the following contents, replacing the %path_to_draw.io%
placeholder with the actual path where you installed Draw.io:

Exec=/opt/draw.io/drawio

Save the file as drawio.desktop
in /usr/share/applications/

Set the file's executable permissions:
sudo chmod +x /usr/share/applications/drawio.desktop

draw.io
