LeoFS is a highly scalable, distributed, and fault-tolerant storage system. It is built using Erlang programming language and provides a way for storing and retrieving large amounts of data. In this tutorial, we will learn how to install LeoFS on Debian latest.
Before starting the installation process, you need to meet the following requirements.
Before installing any new package, it's important to update the existing system. Open a terminal and run the following command.
sudo apt-get update
The next step is to install dependencies that are required to set up LeoFS.
sudo apt-get install -y build-essential gcc erlang-dev erlang-src
After installing dependencies, we can proceed with the installation of LeoFS.
curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/leo-project/leofs/master/script/installer | bash -s build
This command will download the LeoFS installer script and execute it. It will take some time to complete the installation process.
Once the installation process completes, you need to start the LeoFS services. Use the following commands to start the services.
/opt/leofs/bin/leofs start
