Our Shopping List is an open-source web application that aims to provide a simple and efficient way to create, manage and share shopping lists. In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to install Our Shopping List on the latest version of Debian.
Before we get started, make sure you have the following prerequisites installed on your system:
The first step is to clone the Our Shopping List repository from GitHub. To do this, open the terminal and run the following command:
git clone https://github.com/nanawel/our-shopping-list.git
This command will clone the repository to your current working directory.
Once you have cloned the repository, navigate to the project directory and run the following command to install the required dependencies:
cd our-shopping-list
npm install
This command will install all the dependencies required to run the application.
Before running the application, you need to configure it with your MongoDB database credentials. Open the config.json
file located in the config
directory and update the following lines with your MongoDB database credentials:

Once you have installed the dependencies and configured the application, you can run it by running the following command:
npm start
This command will start the application and it will be available at http://localhost:3000
.
