This tutorial will guide you through the steps to install Picsur, a simple and lightweight image viewer for Linux, on Debian Latest.
Make sure you have the following before starting the installation:
Open a terminal emulator and run the following command to install Git and Build Essential packages:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install git build-essential -y
In the same terminal emulator window, run the following command to clone the Picsur repository:
git clone https://github.com/rubikscraft/Picsur.git
This command will create a new directory named Picsur
in your current directory.
Navigate to the Picsur
directory using the following command:
cd Picsur
Then, run the following commands to build and install Picsur:
make
sudo make install
This command will compile Picsur and install it on your system.
You can now test Picsur by running the following command in the terminal emulator window:
picsur <image_path>
Replace <image_path>
with the path of an image file you want to view.
