UBOS is an open-source operating system designed for personal cloud services. In this tutorial, we will explain how to install UBOS on Debian Latest.
Before we start, make sure you have the following prerequisites:
First, you need to download the UBOS installer from the official UBOS website. Open your terminal and use the following command to download the installer:
wget https://ubos.net/pub/ubos-install-latest.sh
Once the installer is downloaded, run the following command to make the file executable:
chmod +x ubos-install-latest.sh
Then run the installer with sudo privileges:
sudo ./ubos-install-latest.sh -y
The -y flag is used to automatically accept the installation prompts without manual intervention.
The installation process may take some time to complete. During the process, the installer will ask you to select the disk to install UBOS. Use the arrow keys to select the disk and hit enter.
You will also be prompted to select the network interface to use for the UBOS installation. Choose the appropriate interface and hit enter.
Once the installation is complete, the system will reboot automatically.
After the system reboots, you can access the UBOS server using the following command:
ssh ubos@<your-server-ip>
You will be prompted to enter the password for the ubos user.
