Zenko CloudServer is an open-source solution to store and manage data from any cloud platform. This tutorial explains how to install Zenko CloudServer on Debian 10 (Buster), the latest stable release of Debian Linux.
Before you begin with the installation process, you should have the following:
The first step is to update the Debian package repository with the latest version of installed software packages. Update your system by running the following command:
sudo apt update
Then, upgrade your system by running the following command:
sudo apt upgrade
Zenko CloudServer requires Node.js to be installed on the server. Install Node.js using the following command:
sudo apt install nodejs -y
Then, verify the installation of Node.js by running the following command:
node --version
First, add the Zenko CloudServer repository to the system's package repository using the following command:
curl -s https://packagecloud.io/install/repositories/scality/Zenko/script.deb.sh | sudo bash
Then, install the Zenko CloudServer package using the following command:
sudo apt install zenko-cloudserver -y
Start the Zenko CloudServer service using the following command:
sudo systemctl start zenko-cloudserver
By default, Zenko CloudServer listens on port 8000. Open a web browser and visit http://localhost:8000 to access the Zenko CloudServer web interface.
You have successfully installed Zenko CloudServer on Debian 10. You can now use Zenko CloudServer to store and manage data from any cloud platform.
