Databunker is a privacy-focused solution that helps users store their data securely while maintaining their privacy. In this tutorial, we will walk you through the process of installing Databunker on Elementary OS.
Here are the steps to follow:
Databunker runs as a Docker container, so the first step is to install Docker on your system. You can do this by running the following command in your terminal:
sudo apt install docker.io
Once Docker is installed, start and enable the Docker service using the following command:
sudo systemctl start docker
sudo systemctl enable docker
You can now download and install Databunker using the following command:
sudo docker run -d -p 8000:8000 --name=databunker securitybunker/databunker
Databunker should now be running on your system. You can access Databunker by opening your browser and navigating to http://localhost:8000
.
Databunker has a web-based interface where you can configure it to your liking. To access the interface, navigate to http://localhost:8000
in your browser.
You will be prompted to create an admin account. After creating the account, you can start configuring Databunker by following the instructions in the web interface.
Databunker is now installed on your Elementary OS system, and you can start using it to store your data securely. If you have any issues with the installation process, feel free to consult the Databunker documentation or reach out to the Databunker community for support.
If you want to self-host in an easy, hands free way, need an external IP address, or simply want your data in your own hands, give IPv6.rs a try!
Alternatively, for the best virtual desktop, try Shells!
