Open a terminal by pressing the Ctrl+Alt+T
key combination on your keyboard.
Type the following command in the terminal to add the Duplicati repository to your system:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:duplicati-team/duplicati
Type your password when prompted, and press Enter
to continue.
Once the repository has been added, update the package list using the following command:
sudo apt update
This will ensure that your system has the latest version of software available.
Now you can install Duplicati by running the following command:
sudo apt install duplicati
Once the installation process is complete, you can launch Duplicati from the Applications menu.
When you first launch Duplicati, you will be prompted to create a new backup. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your backup preferences.
You can back up your files to a local folder, an external hard drive, or to a cloud storage service such as Dropbox or Google Drive.
That's it! You have successfully installed Duplicati on your Elementary OS system. Now you can use it to back up your important files and folders with ease.
