First, we need to install the dependencies required for Pastila. Open up a terminal window and type the following command:
sudo apt install librime-data-pinyin librime-data-wubi librime-data-stroke librime-data-bopomofo librime-data-cangjie5 librime-data-quick5 librime-data-array30 librime-data-jyutping librime-data-ipa librime-data-wugniu
This command will install all the dependencies that are required for Pastila to work properly.
Next, we need to download and install Pastila. Go to the official Pastila website at https://pastila.nl/download and click on the "Linux" button to download the latest version of Pastila.
Once the download is complete, open up a terminal window and navigate to the directory where the Pastila installation file is located. For example, if the file is located in the "Downloads" folder, type the following command:
cd ~/Downloads
Now that we are in the correct directory, we can install Pastila by typing the following command:
sudo dpkg -i pastila_1.1.0_amd64.deb

sudo gedit /usr/share/rime-data/pastila.custom.yaml

Finally, we need to restart IBus to make sure that Pastila is enabled. Open up a terminal window and type the following command:
ibus restart
