Plainpad is a simple and lightweight text editor created by Alex Tselegidis. It is a great tool for writing quick notes and keeping track of simple to-do lists. Here's how to install Plainpad on your Elementary OS Latest computer:
Go to https://alextselegidis.com/get/plainpad/ in your web browser.
Click the "Download for Linux" button.
Select "Download for Debian/Ubuntu" from the dropdown menu.
Click the "Download " button to download the Plainpad ".deb" file.
Open your terminal by pressing "Ctrl + Alt + T" or by searching for "Terminal" in the Applications menu.
Navigate to the directory where you downloaded the file by typing the following command in the terminal:
cd Downloads/
Note: Replace "Downloads" with the name of the directory where you saved the Plainpad ".deb" file.
Install Plainpad by running the following command in the terminal:
sudo dpkg -i plainpad_1.0.1-1_amd64.deb
Note: Replace "plainpad_1.0.1-1_amd64.deb" with the actual name of the Plainpad ".deb" file you downloaded.
Enter your password when prompted and press "Enter" to complete the installation.
Open the Applications menu from the dock or by pressing "Super" (also known as the Windows key).
Type "Plainpad" in the search bar and click on the Plainpad icon to launch the application.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Plainpad on your Elementary OS Latest computer. You can now use it for writing quick notes, making to-do lists, and more.
