SnappyMail is a fast, reliable and secure email client for Linux operating systems. In this tutorial, we will be discussing the installation procedure of SnappyMail on the latest version of Elementary OS.
Before proceeding with the installation, ensure that your system is up to date by running the following command in the terminal:
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
Follow the step-by-step instructions to install SnappyMail on your Elementary OS system:
Visit the official SnappyMail website and navigate to the download page.
Select the appropriate package for your system architecture. In our case Elementary OS, we will select the .deb
file.
After downloading the package, navigate to the Downloads directory where the .deb
file is located.
Right-click on the .deb
file and select "Open with Installer".
This will launch the default package installer in Elementary OS.
Click on the "Install" button to begin the installation process.
You may be prompted to enter your system password to authenticate the installation process.
After entering the password, the installation process will start.
Once the installation is completed, you can launch SnappyMail from the applications menu.
SnappyMail icon may not display in the dock, so you'll need to search for it.
