UBOS is a Linux distro that is designed to make it easy for you to manage web applications. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of installing UBOS on your Elementary OS.
Go to the official UBOS website at https://ubos.net/ and download the latest UBOS image that is compatible with your computer’s architecture.
Use the downloaded UBOS image to create a bootable USB drive. You can use tools like Rufus, Etcher, or BalenaEtcher to create the bootable USB drive.
Insert the bootable USB drive on your computer and restart it. Make sure you select the USB drive as the boot device so that your computer boots from the UBOS USB drive.
Once your computer boots from the USB drive, you will be presented with the UBOS Live session. This is the same as running UBOS without installing it on your computer. Use this session to test UBOS and ensure that it works as expected.
If you are satisfied with the UBOS Live session, you can choose to install UBOS on your computer. To do this, click on the ‘Install UBOS’ icon on the desktop. You will be taken through a step-by-step installation process which will require you to enter some basic information like language, time zone, keyboard layout.
After the installation process completes, you will be prompted to create an admin account. This account will be used to manage your UBOS installation.
Once you have created your admin account, reboot your computer and login to your newly installed UBOS. Congratulations! You have successfully installed UBOS on your Elementary OS.
