rclone is a command-line program to manage files on cloud services, such as Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, and others. In this tutorial, we will explain how to install rclone on Elementary OS Latest.
First, open the Terminal from the Applications menu. Then, run the following command to update the system:
sudo apt-get update
Enter your password when prompted.
To install rclone, run the following command:
sudo apt-get install rclone
Enter your password when prompted. The system will download and install rclone.
Once installed, you’ll need to configure rclone to use a cloud service. You can configure rclone to use several cloud services or configure it to work with only one.
For example, to configure rclone with Google Drive, run the following command:
rclone config
