Appsmith is an open-source web application development platform that lets you build powerful and professional-looking applications. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of installing Appsmith on EndeavourOS Latest.
Before you begin, make sure your system meets the following requirements:
First, we need to install Docker and Docker Compose on our system. To do this, follow the steps below:
Open the terminal on your EndeavourOS Latest system.
Run the following command to install Docker:
sudo pacman -S docker
Once the installation is complete, start the Docker service and enable it so that it starts automatically on boot:
sudo systemctl start docker
sudo systemctl enable docker
Now, install Docker Compose using the following command:
sudo pacman -S docker-compose
Now that we have Docker and Docker Compose installed, we can proceed with the installation of Appsmith:
Open the terminal on your EndeavourOS Latest system.
Clone the Appsmith repository from GitHub using the following command:
git clone https://github.com/appsmithorg/appsmith.git
Navigate to the appsmith directory that was just created:
cd appsmith
Now, run the following command to start the installation using Docker Compose:
docker-compose up -d
This will download and build the required images, and start the Appsmith containers.
Once the installation is complete, you can access Appsmith by navigating to the following URL in your web browser:
http://localhost:8080
