Dashy is a free and open-source dashboard application that provides a quick and easy way to monitor your system's performance. In this tutorial, we will learn how to install Dashy on EndeavourOS, a rolling release Linux distribution based on Arch Linux.
Before we proceed with the installation, make sure to have the following prerequisites installed on your system:
Open your terminal and clone the Dashy repository from GitHub using the following command:
$ git clone https://github.com/lissy93/dashy.git
Once the repository is cloned, change to the Dashy directory using the following command:
$ cd dashy
To run Dashy, we need to install its dependencies. We can install the dependencies for Dashy using the following command:
$ pip3 install -r requirements.txt
Once all the dependencies are installed, we can start Dashy using the following command:
$ python3 runserver.py
This will start Dashy on localhost port 8080. Now, open your web browser and go to http://localhost:8080
to access the Dashy dashboard.
That's it! You have successfully installed and configured Dashy on your EndeavourOS machine. You can customize Dashy according to your needs by modifying its configuration file. Enjoy monitoring your system with Dashy!
If you want to self-host in an easy, hands free way, need an external IP address, or simply want your data in your own hands, give IPv6.rs a try!
Alternatively, for the best virtual desktop, try Shells!
