PlugNMeet is a free, open-source video conferencing and messaging platform. In this tutorial, we will walk through the process of installing PlugNMeet on EndeavourOS Latest.
Before proceeding with this tutorial, make sure you have the following:
Git is a version control system that is used to download software packages from the internet. It is not included in EndeavourOS by default, so we need to install it manually. Open the terminal application and execute the following command to install git.
sudo pacman -S git
After installing Git, the next step is to download the PlugNMeet package from GitHub. Execute the following command to clone the repository.
git clone https://github.com/plugnmeet/plugnmeet
This will create a new directory named plugnmeet
in your current working directory.
PlugNMeet has some dependencies that need to be installed before running it. Execute the following commands to install the dependencies.
sudo pacman -S nodejs npm
Once you have installed the dependencies, navigate to the plugnmeet
directory and execute the following command to install PlugNMeet.
cd plugnmeet
sudo npm install
This will download and install all the required dependencies for PlugNMeet.
Finally, execute the following command to run PlugNMeet.
sudo npm start
This will start the PlugNMeet server, and you will be able to access it through your web browser at http://localhost:3030/
