Beanstalkd is a simple, fast work queue. It is used to queue jobs and handle them asynchronously. In this tutorial, we will learn how to install BeanstalkD on Fedora CoreOS latest version.
Before we start, you need to have the following:
$ ssh [username@]hostname
$ sudo dnf update
$ sudo dnf install beanstalkd
$ sudo nano /etc/sysconfig/beanstalkd
Change the port if required by editing the BEANSTALKD_ADDR
parameter. By default, BeanstalkD listens on port 11300
.
Save and exit the configuration file.
Start the BeanstalkD service using the following command:
$ sudo systemctl start beanstalkd
$ sudo systemctl status beanstalkd
Congratulations! You have successfully installed BeanstalkD on Fedora CoreOS latest version. You can now use BeanstalkD to queue and process jobs that run asynchronously.
If you want to self-host in an easy, hands free way, need an external IP address, or simply want your data in your own hands, give IPv6.rs a try!
Alternatively, for the best virtual desktop, try Shells!
