Directus is a powerful and flexible headless CMS that provides a user-friendly interface for managing your content. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the installation process of Directus on Fedora CoreOS Latest.
Before proceeding with the installation, make sure that:
Directus runs in a containerized environment, so we need to install Docker first. To do that, run the following command:
sudo dnf -y install docker
To enable the Docker service, run the following command:
sudo systemctl start docker
To download Directus, we need to use the Docker command. To do that, run the following command:
sudo docker pull directus/directus
To create a Docker container for Directus, run the following command:
sudo docker run -p 8080:8080 directus/directus
This command creates a Directus container and exposes port 8080 to the host system.
Now that the Directus container is up and running, we can access it by visiting http://localhost:8080
in your web browser. If you want to access Directus from a remote system or network, allow port 8080 in your firewall settings.
The first time you access Directus, you will be prompted to create an account. After creating an account, you can configure Directus to suit your needs by adding databases, managing collections and fields, and creating users.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Directus on Fedora CoreOS Latest. Happy managing your content!
If you want to self-host in an easy, hands free way, need an external IP address, or simply want your data in your own hands, give IPv6.rs a try!
Alternatively, for the best virtual desktop, try Shells!
