Kibana is an open-source, visualization and analytics platform for Elasticsearch. In this tutorial, we'll guide you on how to install Kibana on Fedora CoreOS Latest using the official Elastic repository.
Before we begin, ensure that you have:
The first step is to add Elastic's official repository to the system. Run the following command in the terminal.
sudo dnf install -y https://artifacts.elastic.co/downloads/kibana/kibana-7.15.2-x86_64.rpm
After adding the repository, use the following command to start the Kibana service:
sudo systemctl start kibana
This will start the service and allow Kibana to run. You should also enable the service to run on system boot.
sudo systemctl enable kibana
Once the installation is complete, verify if the installation was successful. You can open a web browser, and visit the following URL: http://your-server-ip-address:5601
. You should see the Kibana Welcome page.
If you can't access the URL, check that the firewall is not blocking incoming traffic to port 5601.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Kibana on Fedora CoreOS Latest. You can now proceed to set up Kibana to suit your needs, such as securing the Kibana dashboard, configuring Elasticsearch data sources, and setting up Kibana plugins.
If you want to self-host in an easy, hands free way, need an external IP address, or simply want your data in your own hands, give IPv6.rs a try!
Alternatively, for the best virtual desktop, try Shells!
