Step 1: Download the StoneAge Messenger package
Open the terminal and download the StoneAge Messenger package from the official website using the following command:
wget https://gitlab.com/cweb/StoneAge/-/jobs/artifacts/master/download?job=build
Step 2: Extract the package
After the download is complete, extract the downloaded file. You can use the unzip command to extract the package:
unzip download\?job\=build
This will extract the package to the current working directory.
Step 3: Set up the Environment Variables
Before running the StoneAge Messenger, it is necessary to configure the Environment Variables. Export the following variables in the terminal:
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:<location_to_stoneage_library_files>
export PATH=$PATH:<location_to_stoneage_binary>
Replace <location_to_stoneage_library_files>
with the path to the lib64
directory in the extracted folder, and <location_to_stoneage_binary>
with the path to the location of the stoneage
executable file.
Step 4: Run the StoneAge Messenger
Now you can run the StoneAge Messenger by simply typing stoneage
in the terminal.
