Syndie is a decentralized content distribution platform that allows you to share data and files anonymously. If you want to install it on your Fedora CoreOS system, follow these steps:
First, you need to make sure that your Fedora CoreOS is up-to-date and that all necessary packages are installed.
To update your system, run the following command:
sudo rpm-ostree update
Next, install the required packages by running:
sudo rpm-ostree install java-1.8.0-openjdk-devel ant git
Now, you need to clone the Syndie repository from GitHub by running:
git clone https://github.com/i2p-syndie/syndie.git
Go to the cloned directory by running cd syndie
.
Next, run the following commands to build Syndie:
ant
ant distributable
Note that the second command may take some time to complete.
After the build process is complete, the installer script will be generated. You can run it by running:
sudo ./syndie-installer-linux.sh
Follow the prompts to complete the installation process.
Once the installation is complete, you can run Syndie from the command line by running:
./syndie.sh
Syndie will run in the background as a daemon. You can access the web interface by navigating to http://localhost:8090
in your web browser.
Congrats! You have successfully installed Syndie on your Fedora CoreOS system.
