TiddlyWiki is a self-contained, non-linear note-taking tool that offers a lot of flexibility and customization. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the steps of installing TiddlyWiki on Fedora CoreOS Latest.
Before installing any new software, it is essential to update your system. To update Fedora CoreOS, run the following command:
sudo dnf update
TiddlyWiki requires Node.js and NPM to run. You can install both of them using the following command:
sudo dnf install nodejs npm
Next, download the latest version of TiddlyWiki from its official website by running the following command:
wget https://tiddlywiki.com/prerelease/tiddlywiki-5.1.23.zip
Note: Although this tutorial uses version 5.1.23, make sure to check for the latest version on the official website.
After downloading the ZIP file, extract it to your desired location using the following command:
unzip tiddlywiki-5.1.23.zip
This will create a new directory named "tiddlywiki-5.1.23" in your current working directory.
Next, navigate to the extracted directory and run the following command to install TiddlyWiki dependencies:
npm install
After installing the dependencies, you can start the TiddlyWiki server with the following command:
node ./tiddlywiki.js
TiddlyWiki should now be running on your localhost at port 8080. Open your web browser and navigate to http://localhost:8080/ to test it.
That's it! You have successfully installed TiddlyWiki on Fedora CoreOS Latest. You can now use it for note-taking and sharing with others. For more information on TiddlyWiki configuration and usage, refer to its official documentation.
