This is a tutorial on how to install Vim on the latest version of Fedora CoreOS.
The first step is to make sure your system packages are up-to-date. Open a terminal and run the following command:
sudo dnf update
Enter your password if prompted, and wait for the update to complete.
Now that your system packages are up-to-date, you can install Vim. Run the following command in your terminal:
sudo dnf install vim
This will install Vim from the default Fedora CoreOS package repository.
Once the installation is complete, you can verify that Vim is installed by running the following command:
vim --version
This will print the version of Vim installed on your system. If you see the version number, then Vim is successfully installed on your Fedora CoreOS.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Vim on Fedora CoreOS Latest. You can now start using Vim for all your editing needs.
