How to install XBackBone on Fedora CoreOS Latest

XBackBone is a lightweight, open-source web-based file manager that runs on the browser. It can be easily installed on Fedora CoreOS Latest by following the steps below:

  1. Update the system

Before installing any new software, it is recommended to update the system to the latest packages. Run the following command in the terminal to do so:

sudo rpm-ostree update
  1. Install Node.js

XBackBone requires Node.js to run. Install it by running the following command:

sudo dnf install nodejs
  1. Download XBackBone

Download the XBackBone code from its official website using the following command:

curl -sLO https://github.com/wxsm/xbackbone/releases/download/v1.2.2/xbackbone-v1.2.2.tar.gz
  1. Extract and install XBackBone

After downloading the package, extract it and move it to the /var/www/html directory using the following commands:

tar -xzf xbackbone-v1.2.2.tar.gz
sudo mv xbackbone-v1.2.2 /var/www/html/
  1. Install XBackBone dependencies

Navigate to the xbackbone-v1.2.2 directory and install the XBackBone dependencies using the following command:

cd /var/www/html/xbackbone-v1.2.2
npm install
  1. Run XBackBone

Start the XBackBone server by running the following command:

npm start
  1. Access XBackBone

Open a web browser and navigate to the following URL:

http://localhost:8080
