Keila is a free and open-source Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that is designed to work with a variety of microcontrollers from various vendors. In this tutorial, we'll walk you through the process of installing Keila on a Fedora server.
To follow this tutorial, you'll need:
Keila is a Windows-based application, so to run it on a Fedora server, we need to install the Wine compatibility layer.
Open the terminal on your Fedora server.
Run the following command to update the package list:
sudo dnf update
Install Wine by running the following command:
sudo dnf install wine
Visit https://www.keila.io/ to download the latest version of Keila.
Click on the "Download" button to start the download.
After downloading the Keila installation package, navigate to the directory where it was downloaded.
Right-click on the downloaded package and select "Open With Wine Windows Program Loader."
The Keila installer will launch. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Once the installation is complete, navigate to the location where Keila was installed.
By default, Keila is installed under the following path:
~/.wine/drive_c/Keil_v5/
Right-click on the "uv4.exe" file and select "Open With Wine Windows Program Loader."
Keila will launch on your Fedora server.
