ReducePy is a Python package for reducing and analyzing genomic data. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of installing ReducePy on a Fedora Server Latest system.
Before we begin, make sure your Fedora Server is up-to-date and you have the following installed:
You can install them using the following commands:
sudo dnf update -y
sudo dnf install -y python3 git
To install ReducePy, we first need to clone the repository from GitHub. Open the terminal and execute the command below to clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/abdullahselek/ReducePy.git
ReducePy has a few dependencies that we need to install before we can use it. Navigate to the ReducePy directory using the following command:
cd ReducePy
Once inside the directory, execute the following command to install the dependencies:
pip3 install -r requirements.txt
This command will install all the required dependencies for ReducePy.
Now that we have cloned the repository and installed the dependencies, we can install ReducePy. To install ReducePy, execute the following command:
sudo python3 setup.py install
This command will install ReducePy on your Fedora Server.
To verify that ReducePy is now installed on your system, you can run the following command:
reducepy --version
This command should output the version number of ReducePy that you just installed.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed ReducePy on your Fedora Server Latest system. You can now use this Python package for reducing and analyzing genomic data.
