Before you install SeaweedFS, you need to install the following dependencies:
To install the dependencies, run the following command:
sudo dnf update && sudo dnf install golang git -y
Next, you need to clone the SeaweedFS repository from GitHub:
git clone https://github.com/chrislusf/seaweedfs.git
Once you have cloned SeaweedFS, navigate to the root directory of the cloned repository:
cd seaweedfs/
Next, build and install SeaweedFS using the following command:
./build.sh
This will create a binary executable file named "weed" in the "weed" subdirectory.
To use SeaweedFS system-wide, you need to add the "weed" executable to your PATH variable. Add the following line to your shell's configuration file:
export PATH=$PATH:/path/to/seaweedfs/weed
Replace "/path/to/seaweedfs" with the actual path to the "seaweedfs" directory.
Finally, verify that SeaweedFS is installed and working correctly by running the following command:
weed version
This should output the version number of SeaweedFS that you have installed.
