How to Install TiddlyWiki on Fedora Server Latest

In this tutorial, we will guide you to install TiddlyWiki on Fedora Server Latest using the Terminal. TiddlyWiki is an open-source and free wiki that can be used for personal note-taking, task management, and collaboration projects.

Prerequisites

Step 1 - Update System Packages

The first step is to update the existing system packages to their latest version. Open the Terminal and execute the following command:

sudo dnf update

Provide the sudo password if asked and press 'y' to continue the system update.

Step 2 - Install Node.js

TiddlyWiki requires Node.js to run on the system; therefore, we will install Node.js version 12.x by running the following command:

sudo dnf install nodejs12

The installation process will take a few minutes to complete.

Step 3 - Download TiddlyWiki

Download the latest TiddlyWiki version using wget command:

wget https://github.com/Jermolene/TiddlyWiki5/releases/download/v5.1.23/tiddlywiki-linux-x64.zip

The downloaded package is in zip format. Extract it to the /opt directory using the following command:

sudo unzip tiddlywiki-linux-x64.zip -d /opt/

You can verify that the TiddlyWiki folder exists on the system by running:

ls /opt/TiddlyWiki5/

Step 4 - Run TiddlyWiki

Open the Terminal and navigate to the TiddlyWiki directory using the following command:

cd /opt/TiddlyWiki5/

Start the TiddlyWiki server by running the following command:

node ./tiddlywiki.js

After the script executes, it will display the TiddlyWiki server link, which can be accessed using any web browser:
