In this tutorial, we will guide you through the steps to install µTask on a Fedora Server Latest. µTask is a lightweight task scheduler and automation tool that is designed with server automation in mind. The tool is written in Go and is available on the Github repository.
Before we proceed with the installation, ensure that you meet the following prerequisites:
The first step is to update the system to the latest available version. Run the following command to update the system:
sudo dnf -y update
The next step is to install the dependencies required for µTask to work correctly. Run the following command:
sudo dnf install -y git go
Next, we will clone the µTask repository from Github. Run the following command:
git clone git://github.com/ovh/utask.git
After cloning the repository, navigate to the utask directory and install it using the go command:
cd utask
go install .
To verify the installation, run the following command:
utask version
This command should print the version of µTask that you have installed.
That’s it! You have successfully installed µTask on a Fedora Server Latest. You can now use µTask to automate tasks and processes on your server. If you encounter any issues during the installation process, check the µTask documentation for troubleshooting steps or seek assistance from the Github community.
