Talkyard is a modern, open-source forum software designed for easy, secure and flexible discussions. It provides a robust and scalable platform for online communication and collaboration. In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps to install Talkyard on FreeBSD Latest.
Before installing Talkyard, ensure that your system meets the following requirements:
Talkyard requires Docker to run. To install Docker on FreeBSD Latest, execute the following command:
pkg install docker
This command will download and install Docker on your system.
Next, enable the Docker service at system startup using the command:
sysrc docker_enable=YES
Then start the Docker service using the command:
service docker start
Docker is now installed and running on your FreeBSD Latest system.
To download Talkyard, visit the Talkyard website at https://www.talkyard.io/ and click the “Download” button. This will download the Talkyard installation file.

./talkyard.sh install
