In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to install Openfire on Kali Linux Latest. Openfire is a real-time collaboration server licensed under the Apache License that uses XMPP protocol for instant messaging and group chat.
Before proceeding with the installation, make sure you have the following:
First, we need to update the package repository to ensure we have the latest version of the software.
To do this, open the terminal and enter the following command:
sudo apt update
Openfire requires Java to run, so we need to install Java first.
To install Java, enter the following command in the terminal:
sudo apt install default-jre
Next, we will download and install Openfire on Kali Linux Latest.
Go to the Openfire download page and copy the link for the Debian package.
In the terminal, navigate to the directory where you want to download the package.
Download the package using wget command:
wget <Debian Package Link>
Replace <Debian Package Link> with the link you copied in step 1.
Install the package using the dpkg command:

After completing the setup process, you can log in to the Openfire Admin console by visiting:
http://localhost:9090/admin
You can use the credentials you set up during the setup process to log in. From here, you can configure and manage Openfire.
