Pomerium is an open-source software that allows you to authenticate and authorize requests to your web applications. In this tutorial, we will go through the steps to install Pomerium on Kali Linux.
Before we proceed, make sure that you have the following:
We need to install some dependencies before we can install Pomerium:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -y \
curl \
gnupg2 \
wget
Add the Pomerium package repository to your system:
echo "deb [trusted=yes] https://apt.fury.io/pomerium/ /" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pomerium.list
Add the GPG key of the Pomerium package repository:
curl -fsSL https://apt.fury.io/pomerium/KEY.gpg \
| sudo apt-key add -
Update your package repository cache:
sudo apt-get update
Now that we have added the package repository, we can install Pomerium using the following command:
sudo apt-get install -y pomerium
Verify that the installation was successful by running:
pomerium version
This should output the version of Pomerium installed on your system.
Finally, update the configuration file config.yaml
located at /etc/pomerium
. Customize it according to your needs.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Pomerium on Kali Linux. You can now use it to secure your web applications.
