Dudle is a web-based scheduling application that allows users to conveniently schedule events, meetings, and appointments. This tutorial will walk you through the installation process of Dudle on Kali Linux.
Prerequisites
Before installing Dudle, ensure that you have the following:
- Kali Linux latest version installed.
- Apache2 web server installed.
- PHP and PHP extensions installed.
Step 1: Download Dudle
- Navigate to dudle">http://primelife.ercim.eu/results/opensource/63-dudle on your web browser.
- Click on the “Download Dudle” button.
- Choose the latest version of Dudle and click on the “Download” button.
Step 2: Extract Dudle
- Open the terminal on your Kali Linux system.
- Navigate to the folder where Dudle was downloaded.
- Use the following command to extract the downloaded Dudle file:
tar -xzf dudle-x.x.x.tar.gz
Step 3: Move Dudle to the web server directory
- Move the extracted Dudle directory to the
/var/www/html/
folder.
sudo mv dudle-x.x.x /var/www/html/dudle
- Change the ownership and permissions of the Dudle directory.
sudo chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/html/dudle
sudo chmod -R 755 /var/www/html/dudle
Step 4: Configure Dudle
- Open your web browser and navigate to
http://localhost/dudle/
- Click on the
install.php
file to begin the installation process.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to configure and install Dudle on your Kali Linux system.
- Once the installation is complete, you can access Dudle by navigating to
http://localhost/dudle/
on your web browser.
