Audiobookshelf is a free application used for managing audiobooks on Linux. This tutorial will guide you through the process of installing Audiobookshelf on Linux Mint Latest.
Go to the Audiobookshelf website https://www.audiobookshelf.org/ and download the latest version of the application.
Before you can install Audiobookshelf, you need to install the dependencies. Open the terminal and run the following command:
sudo apt-get install libssl-dev libsqlite3-dev qt5-default
This will install the required libraries and packages needed by Audiobookshelf.
Once the dependencies are installed, extract the downloaded Audiobookshelf file. You can do this using the terminal or a file manager. For example, if you have downloaded the file to the Downloads folder, run the following command in the terminal:
tar -xvf ~/Downloads/audiobookshelf-1.0.x86_64.tar.gz -C ~/Downloads
This will extract the files to the Downloads folder.
To install Audiobookshelf, navigate to the folder where you extracted the downloaded file and run the following command:
sudo ./install.sh
