DailyTxT is an open-source tool to help you manage your daily texts from the command line. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the installation process of DailyTxT on Linux Mint.
Before we start the installation process, make sure you have the following prerequisites on your system:
First, we need to install Git on our system. To do that, open a terminal and run the following command:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install git
Now we will clone the DailyTxT repository from Github. Open a terminal and run the following command:
git clone https://github.com/PhiTux/DailyTxT.git
This will create a local copy of the DailyTxT repository.
Now that we have downloaded the DailyTxT source files, we can install DailyTxT. Navigate to the DailyTxT folder using the terminal:
cd DailyTxT
Once inside the folder, run the following command to install DailyTxT:
sudo python3 setup.py install
This will install DailyTxT on your system.
To verify that DailyTxT has been installed correctly, run the following command:
dailytxt -h
If you see a help message, then DailyTxT has been installed successfully.
