Step 1: Downloading the LittleLink Custom Package
- Visit the official website of LittleLink Custom at https://littlelink-custom.com/.
- Click the "Download" button from the homepage.
- Find the version of your Linux Mint operating system and download the corresponding package for LittleLink Custom.
Step 2: Opening Terminal
- Click on the Terminal icon from the taskbar to launch the terminal program.
Step 3: Installing Dependencies
- Run the following command in the Terminal to install the dependencies needed for LittleLink Custom.
sudo apt install libgconf-2-4 libxss1
- Enter your root user password when prompted.
Step 4: Extracting the Package
- Navigate to the directory where the LittleLink Custom package was downloaded using the "cd" command. For instance, if the package is saved in the Downloads folder, run the command:
cd Downloads
- Extract the .tar.gz file by running the command:
tar -xzvf littlelink-custom-linux-<version>.tar.gz
- Replace above with the version number of the downloaded package. For instance:
tar -xzvf littlelink-custom-linux-1.0.0.tar.gz
Step 5: Running LittleLink Custom
- Navigate into the extracted package's directory using the "cd" command. For instance:
cd littlelink-custom-linux-<version>
- Replace above with the version number of the extracted package. For instance:
cd littlelink-custom-linux-1.0.0
- Run the LittleLink Custom application by executing the "LittleLinkCustom" binary file. Run the command:
./LittleLinkCustom
- The LittleLink Custom application will now start on your Linux Mint desktop. Follow the setup process within the application to start creating custom links.
