Lowdefy is an open-source development platform that makes it easy to build web applications using a visual user interface. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the installation process of Lowdefy on your Linux Mint system.
Before we start the installation process, make sure you have the following prerequisites:
Lowdefy requires Node.js to be installed on your system. If you already have Node.js installed, you can skip this step. If not, follow the below command to install Node.js on your Linux Mint system.
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nodejs
To install Lowdefy, run the following command in your terminal:
sudo npm i -g lowdefy
This will install Lowdefy globally on your system, so you can use it from anywhere on your system.
To verify that Lowdefy is installed correctly, run the following command in your terminal:
lowdefy --version
This command will output the version of the Lowdefy that is installed on your system. If you see an output with the version of Lowdefy, then it means that it's installed correctly.
Now that Lowdefy is installed on your system, you can start creating your web applications. To create a new project, navigate to your desired project directory and run the following command:
lowdefy create my-app
This command will create a new Lowdefy project called my-app
in the current directory.
To run the project, navigate to the project directory and run the following command:
cd my-app
lowdefy develop
This command will start the development server and launch the project in your default web browser.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Lowdefy on your Linux Mint system. You can now start building web applications using the Lowdefy visual interface. Happy coding!
If you want to self-host in an easy, hands free way, need an external IP address, or simply want your data in your own hands, give IPv6.rs a try!
Alternatively, for the best virtual desktop, try Shells!
