In this tutorial, we will install Form.io on Linux Mint. Form.io is a form builder platform that allows users to create forms without coding. It is a great tool for businesses that need to collect data and feedback from their clients.
Before starting with the installation process make sure that you have the following:
Open the terminal on your system by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T
or searching for it in the system menu.
The first thing we need to do is to install the Node.js package on our system.
To install Node.js, run the following command:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install nodejs
After installing Node.js, verify the installation by running the following command:
node -v
This will display the version of Node.js installed on your system.
To install Form.io, run the following command:
sudo npm install -g formio
This will install Form.io on your system.
To verify that Form.io is installed correctly, run the following command:
formio version
You should see the version of Form.io displayed on your terminal.
To start the Form.io server, run the following command:
formio server
This will start the server on your system.
Once the Form.io server is running, you can access it by opening your web browser and going to http://localhost:3001.
You should see the Form.io server dashboard, where you can create, edit and manage forms.
