Docspell is a document management system for personal use. It allows you to easily store, organize and search through your documents. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the installation process of Docspell on MXLinux Latest.
Before starting with the installation process, make sure your system meets the following prerequisites:
Docspell requires Java to be installed on your system. If you don't have Java installed, you can install it by running the following command in the terminal:
sudo apt install default-jre
This will install the default Java Runtime Environment on your system.
Next, download the Docspell package from their official website https://docspell.org. Click on the Download button under 'Get Docspell' to download the package.
Alternatively, you can use the following command to download the package directly from the terminal:
wget https://docspell.org/download/0.10.2/docspell-0.10.2.zip

Now that you have downloaded the package, navigate to the directory where the package is downloaded and extract it using the following command in the terminal:
unzip docspell-0.10.2.zip
This will extract the Docspell package in the current directory.
To start Docspell, navigate to the extracted docspell-0.10.2 directory and run the following command in the terminal:
./docspell.sh
This will start Docspell on your system. You can access Docspell by opening a web browser and entering http://localhost:7567 in the address bar.
