Jami is a free and open-source software that allows users to make audio and video calls, instant messaging, and file sharing. This tutorial will guide you through installing Jami on the latest version of MXLinux.
Open the terminal by pressing CTRL + ALT + T
.
Enter the following command to download the GPG key:
wget https://dl.jami.net/public-key.gpg
Import the GPG key:
sudo apt-key add public-key.gpg
Add the Jami repository to the system by running:
echo "deb https://dl.jami.net/nightly/mx/latest/$(lsb_release -cs) $(lsb_release -cs) main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jami.list
Update the repository:
sudo apt update
Install Jami by running the following command:
sudo apt install jami

Click on the Jami icon to launch the application.

Enter your name, phone number, and email address.
