This tutorial provides step-by-step instructions for installing KDevelop on the latest version of MXLinux. KDevelop is an open-source integrated development environment (IDE) for software development. KDevelop supports various languages including C++, PHP, Python, etc.
To ensure that our system is up to date and we have access to the latest packages, we need to update the package manager. Open the terminal and run the following command:
sudo apt update
After updating the package manager, we can install KDevelop using the following command:
sudo apt install kdevelop
This command will download and install KDevelop and its required dependencies.
Once the installation is complete, you can launch KDevelop from the application launcher. Click on the application launcher icon (bottom left corner) and type "KDevelop" in the search bar. Click on the KDevelop icon to launch it.
