How to Install Komga on MXLinux Latest

Komga is an open-source ebook and comic server that allows you to access your digital comics and ebooks from any device. In this tutorial, we will be installing Komga on MXLinux latest.

Before getting started, ensure that you have the required permissions to install software on your system.

Step 1: Install Required Packages

Komga requires several packages to be installed on your system before it can be installed. Open the terminal and run the following commands to install the necessary packages:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -y default-jre-headless default-jdk-headless ffmpeg zip unrar

Step 2: Download and Extract Komga

Head over to the official Komga website and download the latest version. The downloaded file should be a .zip file.

Once you have downloaded the file, open the terminal and navigate to the directory where the file was downloaded. Alternatively, you can also right-click the file and select 'Extract Here' to extract the contents of the file.

unzip komga-x.x.x.zip

Step 3: Install Komga

Once the file has been extracted, navigate to the extracted directory and run the following command:

./komga

This will start the installation process. You will see a message indicating that the installation process has started. Wait for the process to complete.

Step 4: Configure Komga

Once the installation process is complete, launch your preferred web browser and navigate to http://localhost:8080. You should see the Komga web interface. From here, you can configure your library, users, and settings.
